This fun dish strays away from a classic stir fry by using quinoa instead of rice, and, by using our tandoori turkey steak to provide a dynamic flavor profile. Use your fav veg and stir fry sauce to make it they way you like it!

Ingredients

  • 1 x Pkg Hayter’s Farm Tandoori Turkey Steak (Substitute for Seasoned or Teriyaki if you wish)
  • 1 1/2 Cups Quinoa, Cooked
  • 4 Cups of Your Fav Veg, Sliced and Chopped
  • 2 Tbsp of Oil of Choice
  • 3/4 Cup of water
  • 1/2 Cup Feta or Goat Cheese, Crumbled
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste
  • Optional: 1/4 Cup of a sauce of your liking such as Honey Garlic, Greek, Zesty Italian or Szechuan.

Method of Preparation

  1. Prepare your quinoa according to cooking instructions on package.
  2. While the quinoa is cooking, cook your turkey steaks low and slow in a frying pan until an internal temperature of 165F has been reached. Once cooked, set aside to rest.
  3. Heat a frying pan to medium heat and add the cooked quinoa to it. Then, add a couple tablespoons of oil. Stir often for a couple minutes to brown the quinoa.
  4. Add your chopped veg to the quinoa, then, pour over the water to steam the veg. Ensure you keep stirring often, scraping the crispy quinoa bits from the bottom of the pan.
  5. Once the veg is cooked to your liking, add salt and pepper to taste. This is also where you can add a sauce, if you’d like. Mix well, again, ensuring that you’re scraping the bottom of the pan. Turn off the burner.
  6. Thinly slice your turkey steaks.
  7. Scoop your desired serving size of the veggie and quinoa mix into a bowl and top with your cheese. Then, top with your sliced turkey and enjoy!Note: Serves 3-4 people.
