Ground Turkey Nachos are fabulous whether done on the BBQ, in the Air Fryer, over a Campfire, or in the Oven. Add your fav veg (pssst… pickles are amazing on Nachos) to whole grain chips and top with some cooked ground turkey seasoned with your fav spices. Adjust portions to meet your needs.
Ingredients
- 1 x Pkg Hayter’s Farm Ground Turkey (98/2 or 93/7), cooked and seasoned to your liking – we chose a classic taco seasoning.
- 1 x Bag of Tortilla Chips.
- 3 x Cups of Veggies of your choice, chopped – we used clack beans, corn, red pepper, dill pickle, red onion and jalapeño.
- 2 x Cups of Cheese of your choice – we used aged cheddar.
- Optional – You could get some chives or green onions, cilantro, parsley or other fresh herbs to top. Also, salsa, sour cream or hot sauce.
Method of Preparation
- Preheat your oven, or, cooking method of choice to 400F.
- Cook your ground turkey to an internal temperature of 165F. Once cooked, add your seasoning. Pro tip: add your seasoning to a few tablespoons of warm water and then pour overtop of your cooked ground, stir it in, and take it off the burner.
- While your ground is cooking, wash and chop your veg, and, grate your cheese.
- Get your pan and lay parchment paper over top. Spread your tortilla’s all over the pan, ensuring no holes. Then add a small layer of cheese. From there, layer on your veg, and top with the remainder of the cheese.
- Cook until the cheese has melted and enjoy!
